Narrowtex is South Africa’s sole manufacturer and leading supplier of automotive restraint webbing. Direct restraint webbing exports are made to the United Kingdom as well as to France for aeronautical safety systems. South African vehicles using the Narrowtex brand include Daimler Chrysler, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, BMW, Toyota, Delta, Ford and Mazda.

Various designs are available including a series of panel configurations. Our standard range of restraint webbings includes widths ranging between 46 & 48.5mm and tensile strengths ranging between 24.75 and 30kn.
However specifications can be customised for individual requirements.

State of the art facilities are used and include a dyeing machine which accommodates a variety of different colours. Our “Cut-to-length” apparatus accurately cuts and heat seals a tapered edge, allowing us to supply in pre-cut length's thus saving the customer a further process. Each and every batch of webbing dispatched is vigorously tested in the laboratory to ensure compliance with laid down standards.

Narrowtex is accredited with the automotive industries' specific safety standards ISO/TS16949:2002, VDA6/QS9000 as well as the ISO 9001 : 2000 standard. Regular, stringent audits are conducted to ensure absolute reliability and traceability.
